He began to work in 1974. He graduated from Hubei University,
majored in English in 1980, and was honored a MBA jointly
given by Shanghai Maritime University and Management School
of Maastricht of Holland in 1999. He worked in Hubei Knub
Research Institute from Jan. 1980 to Mar.1985. During Mar.1985
and Jan.1998, he worked in China Merchants Shekou Industrial
Zone, successively taking the posts of Assistant GM and Deputy
GM of Shekou Industrial Zone, Director and General Manager
of Shenzhen PENAVICO, Deputy Director and General Manager
of China Merchants Port Services Co., Director of Shekou Industrial
Zone South Sea Oil Field Service Office, Director General
of Shekou Port Public Security Bureau, General Manager of
China Ocean Shipping Tally Co., Shekou Branch. From Jan.1998
to May 2001, he had been Deputy GM of China Merchants Transportation
Group and General Manager of China Merchants Shipping &
Enterprises Co., From May 2001 to Feb. 2005, he had been working
as Deputy GM of China Merchants Holdings Co., From Mar.2005
on, he's Director, Deputy GM, Vice Secretary of CCP Commission
and Secretary of the Commission for Inspecting Discipline
of China Merchants Logistics Holding Co., Ltd.
